Minors in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures
Please note that International Business, Global Studies IB & GLS majors require a minor in a foreign language. Your advisor can provide you with more information.
Chinese
A minor in Chinese requires 15 semester hours at the 2000 level or above including CHN 2001 and CHN 2003.
A minor in Chinese with a major in International Business requires CHN 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010 and 3090.
French
A French minor requires 15 semester hours including 2005, 2010, 2035 and 6 semester hours of electives in the major field at the 2000 level or above, excluding 3520.
A minor in French with a major in International Business requires FRE 2005, 2010, 2035, 3095 and Culture and Civilization.
German
A German minor consists of 15 semester hours including German 2010 and 2015 and 9 semester hours of electives in German on the 2000 level or above, excluding 3520.
A minor in German with a major in International Business requires GER 2010, 2015, 3090 and Culture and Civilization and one elective at the 2000 level or above.
Japanese
A minor in Japanese requires of 15 semester hours at the 2000 level or above including JPN 2001 and JPN 2003.

Spanish
A Spanish minor consists of 15 semester hours including 2005 and 2010 and 9 semester hours of electives in the major field at the 2000 level or above, excluding 3520.
A minor in Spanish with a major in International Business requires SNH 2005, 2010, 4090, Culture and Civilization, and one elective at the 2000 level or above.
TESL
A TESL, Teaching English as a Second Language minor consists of 18 semester hours of required course work as follows: LLC 2050, 3010, 3020, 4550, 4551, and 4555. Possible substitutions include LLC 4550 ENG 3300, LLC or CI 3120, ENG 3120, and LLC 4555 Practicum in TESL.
