The Department of Languages, Literatures, and cultures offers three Honors levels in Spanish and in French and Francophone Studies.

Highest Honors in French and Francophone Studies or in Spanish requires a grade of “A” or better in above courses and GPA of 3.85 or better in all FRE or SNH coursework.

High Honors in French and Francophone Studies or in Spanish requires a grade of “A” or better in above courses and GPA of 3.65 or better in all FRE or SNH coursework.

Honors in French and Francophone Studies or in Spanish requires a grade of “B” or better in the above courses and GPA of 3.45 or better in all FRE or SNH coursework.

Requirements to Remain in the Honors Program

• Student must maintain at least a “B” average in Honors work
   
• Complete the three courses (9 semester hours) below:
  • LLC 2510 Sophomore Honors Seminar in Literature in Translation
  • FRE 3510 or SNH 3510  Junior Seminar in French or Spanish
  • FRE 4510 or SNH 4510  Senior Honors Thesis in French or Spanish
